If the idea is to use it as a mechanism for educating about the history, culture and science of the Arabic speaking world through AR, digital signage and mobile-first experiences. That are used to promote historical and cultural sites through tourism ministries. I think is an idea worth persueing.
I believe it can work beautifully, as a community driven project between history departments in universities and museum curators. In fact it will bring life to the few old struggling schools of Arabic calligraphy in Cairo and the struggling art of Mother 9f Pearl craftsmen in Syria, and other masons alike.
